oh my god, its full of elites:
This is more than just an overview about all elite skills in guild wars.
all elite skills are arranged in a circle that gives great overview about the general ballance of build wars builds.
Quote:
made by Ollj to get overview over all elites and possible builds:
This is the first version of it, im sure its full of errors.
The further outside an elite skill is the more attributes you should use with it and the less use of your secondary cass you should make.
The closer an elite is to the middle the less attributes you should use with it, they should be used as secondary attribute/class.
The elites that are surrounded by elites of the same class use the "primary attribute" of that class more than the elites next to other classes.
Elites that are at the border of a class have more the "character" of the class they are next to, for example the mesmer to ele border has spiking elites, the necro to monk border has healing elites. This is how the classes characters overlap!
An elite is in general best against the elites that are 1/6 turn clockwise from is and worst against the elite that that are 1/6 counterclockwise from it.
Every elite is slightly superior to the next 1/3 of all elites that come clockwise and slightly inferior to the previous 1/3 elites counterclockwise.

The picture needs more lens flare if you ask me, to properly highlight its brilliance.
Just a random question, according to your picture, Aura of Faith is a good against Gladiator's Defense. What is the precise logic of promoting the use of a defensive elite against a defensive elite?
And which research did you perform to conclude that the Guild Wars skills were designed to fit into such a pattern? Surely an intricate system doesn't drop out of thin air. I'm very interested in the science behind this!

lol Mariena Feladon that builder is terrible, its telling me to use 3 15 energy skills as w/mo and saying that i should be using a hammer and have the skill riposte which is a sword/shield defense, half the time the weapon requirements are about 6 to, no max damage weapon can have that its also told me to use sword/axe/fire in 1 build wtf lol

Instant build builder eh? You mean you build builds? Who would've thought!
Thank you for making that clear, and for this amazing chart that just puts everything in perspective so clearly. Now I know, that if I ever need to run a condition build, I can counter Martyr with Lingering Curse. And Thunderclap owns against Blood is Power.
Silmor you're just jealous that you didn't think of this first. Don't be a hater!

I especially liked the Ele/War with Earth Attunement and Chain Lighting, but no earth skills.

Yes, ensign the bullshit formular got extended by a second dimension to make that picture, thats basically it.
Still works great btw.
Of course the amount of 455 skills makes it a bit messy and it becomes blurry.

the further outside the clearer is the a defeats b thing.
The more to the middle the more similar the skills become( to a skill of another class at the same position) , but the classes still have the a defeats b thing.
Flourish > Greater confliguration:
Flourish boosts all attacks, greater confliguration nullifies all physical damage . Necromaners and some monks hate that, but Wariors dont care.
Skull crack > crippling Shot:
They are both too much in the middle to see a clear ">", but they basically do the same: Prevent the monk from casting or prevent the warriors from movement. They are arranged in similarity.
Lingering > Marthyr:
Lingering destroys monk enchantments as maryr cures warrior conditions. They can also me used defensively against elementalist enchantments and necromancer conditions.
Thunderclap > Blood is Power:
BiP gives a lot of energy to support elementalists and primarily for monks and warriors, all sometimes need a lot of energy in a short time.
Thunderclap knocks down a lot in a short time, perfect against necromancers, monks and defensively against mesmers. all can cast a lot in a short time and would like not to be knocked down meanwhile. Other classes dont care much for being knocked down.

Effective, I say. In battles, you can switch weapons effectively without losing their damage. Use hamstring + executioner strike ftw!

Great job Ollj! Thanks for the laugh. You deserve a monthly column in the humour category. I don't know what's more funny, the original pictures or your outstanding explanations regarding Lingering Curse and Martyr.
Sorry to sound sarcastic, but next time please post this kind of pictures in "Nolani Academy of Arts and Crafts", or be ready to backup your statements much more seriously. In its current state, your initial post looks like a perfect flame bait for serious posters.

J'aime! I like the concept, at least. I'm working on something similar, although not as pretty. Still crunching numbers on the cluster.
